The used Lotus epitomises the spirit of racing wrapped in a sublime-handling lightweight body. The Exige appears to be the driver’s choice at the moment.
The used Lotus is a 2-door sports coupe designed with minimalistic approach in order to be quicker than many more powerful and more expensive car of today. Therefore, the Lotus features a very slippery bodywork made of very light materials which not only weigh almost nothing at all but also they feature a number of elements which reduce drag and provide the necessary downforce. So there’s the front bumper with air splitter, a big wing at the back and air diffuser mounted in rear bumper which is responsible for proper air channelling. Additionally, 17-inch super light alloy with low profile semi-slick tyres provide excellent grip. Inside the used Lotus there are only the most rudimentary elements such as electric windows and side mirrors, two airbags and ABS brakes. Clearly, the interior is sport-orientated with Alcantara bucket seats, lots of carbon fibre on the dashboard and aluminium pedals, gear lever and handbrake handle. Under the bonnet of the Exige there’s a 1. 8-litre 16 valve supercharged petrol engine producing 257 horsepower. The results are astonishing with 0-62 time of 4. 1 seconds and the top speed slightly over 150 mph. The used Lotus 2010 Exige Cup 260 is a great sports car capable of putting a big smile on the driver’s face.
